Will Lamson Catalog '10

William Lamson's, Time Is Like The East River, marks a first for Artspace. It denotes the first time that we've handed the entire gallery space over to one artist; it's also the largest presentation to date of William Lamson's work. In this exhibition alone, Lamson produced three site-specific installations-including a brilliantly conceived public artwork that convey a sense of urgency, risk, imagination, and a deep passion for pushing physical and conceptual boundaries of place, space, and time. Read this one of a kind interview with Lamson and our Curator, Liza Statton. Lamson currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. He received his MFA from Bard College and his BA from Dartmouth College. Lamson has exhibited nationally and internationally, has received many prestigious awards including the MacDowell Fellowship, and he's in various collections including The Dallas Museum of Art, The Brooklyn Museum, The Houston Museum of Fine Arts, The West Collection, and the Progressive Corporate Art Collection. Your purchase of this extensive catalog will support emerging artists like Lamson and Artspace's mission to bring contemporary art to New Haven.
